The movies will always play on the computer cuz itz in a format that the computer understands. If your trying to get it on to a dvd-r to where you can watch it on your home dvd player, you are going to need a program that can burn mpeg, avi, mpg etc... files to dvd & or vcd. Go to yahoo.com and type in something like "mpg to dvd"or "mpeg to dvd", and you will get results of some programs that can do what your looking for. Nero does it, and so does Easy CD & DVD Creator 6 Platinum.

I'm not finding anything from Microsoft that would indicate the capability to burn to DVD-R... My suggestion would be to use the program that came with their DVD burner (such as Nero)

First you must check if your burner supports DVD media, if so get a DVD-IT freeware.

You have to edit it and convert the file to one that your burner recognizes, I have trouble doing it, too. For some reason mine will lock up about half way through.......
