Defencer is not Latin. There is no Latin word beginning with defenc-
If you mean "defensor" then Felis defensor is "protector of a cat".
Feles defensor "guard cat" (Like Canis defensor, guard dog).
There is also the possibility "Feles defenser" - "Let me be a protected cat". (let me,as a cat, be protected).
There are instances of the form "feles" being substituted by "felis", so the only change from your spelling here would be the C.

Well, Felis is scientific name for the genus for cat, so that's a start. Comes from Latin, feles (gen. felis) "cat, wild cat, marten," of uncertain origin.
As for the Defencer, the closest I can come is from the Latin, defensum "thing protected or forbidden," from neut. pp. of defendere "ward off, protect".
So, Cat Defender, Cat Warrior, Forbidden Cat, Protected Cat - depends on how literal you want to interpret the Latin, I guess.
