Shop him to the Inland Revenue.
If he's not giving you payslips then he's probably not paying over the corrfect amounts to HMRC.
The investigation will tie him up in knots for months.
Don't get mad get even.

You are entitled to a payslip by law and if he refuses to give you one then he is breaking it.
I would advise you to go to your local citizens advice and talk to then on the best way to proceed.
You are entitled to 20 days paid holidays per year - paid on a pro rata basis if you have been there less than a year or leave halfway through the year.
Rats like this need people like you to stand up to them...If hes not paying your tax then hes not paying your national insurance either and that is a very bad situation for you in your later years. I reckon you wont even be registered with the Inland Revenue and if you are hes falsifiying records....hence no payslips.

PS The min wage goes up to £5.35 on 1st October if your over 22 and over...I hope your getting the proper rate too.
And as Barry G said about lossing your job...I totally agree that you could wipe the floor with your employer and claim damages.

From the information you have supplied he is definitely breaking the law on a number of points. Go to Citizens advice Bureau first they will guide you. Failing getting to them get a lawyer fast and have every bit of documentation in readiness - if as a result he fires you he will face even more penalties and you could get very substantial damages in compensation.
A lawyer will love this one and you may find one who will not want paying up front and will do it for a percentage of your compensation. You are in a win, win situation !

Have you ever had a P60 to prove he has been paying your National Insurance contributions? If not your State Pension is definately in jepordy. By law you need pay slips and proof of tax/NI paid...also if you decide to leave this employment ensure you get a P45!
Looks to me like he is diddling the tax office as well as her majestys customs and revenue ;0) you hold him over a barrell and get it all sorted mate!

No contract no wage slips, How then does he pay you? If he's not declared you, he can't pay your tax.
I dont understand where he's coming from.
If the holidays are owed to you and it's within the holiday entitlement he must pay you, he can't refuse. Do you have citizens advice bureau near you?
First port of call there and they will help you

he has to provide you with a wage slip, are you in a union, it would be advisable to be in one , there approximently £3 a month but give unlimited legal fees and support if you encounter employment problems.However, If I was you I would start looking for a better job, as that one your currently in sounds unstable

by law he has to supply payslips and you are entitled to 1 and half days leave for every month worked this year. Report and get a better job!

go to labor and industry or to your states employment office to report them, i did the same and keep documentation. When or if you quit it is more for when you quit if they don't pay you. because the employer caused distress and you can be compensated for time owed plus whatever for unemployment.

how does he take tax off you and you do not get any proof?! it all sounds very odd.... have you never thought to look into this in 4 yrs?! i recommend you go to citizens advice

Contant the labor board and let them deal with it. If you lose your job, there is an excellent chance that so will he.
