Put your issues in writing to the landlord or letting agent who handles the property. Specify what you feel is wrong and what the Landlord should be doing to resolve the issues. If it is a maintenance/repairs issue then your landlord, by law, has to get it sorted, but he/she can deny that you had ever queried them about the issues in the first place, so you need evidence i.e correspondence and for extra impact visual evidence. if it's a genuine clash of personalities you will be liable for the rent until your landlord gets a new tenant or until the lease runs out.

I feel your pain. My landlord/letting agent was a complete Tosser. I'm now £1500 down because i never put my issues in writing...Oh, dont withold rent as without proof the landlord will take great pleasure in taking you to court. For further information check with Shelterline or local Citizens Advice. Good Luck!

Depends who your landlord is and why he/she treats you badly!
read your agreement Very Carefully, you may have to give them 4 weeks notice!
I would suggest you visit your local Citizens Advise Service.[look in telephoine directory]

Yes.
However this is a tricky subject and you have not put down much information.
Try Contacting Shelter or your local Citizens Advice Beauro as they will be able to help you more.

Check the tenancy agreement and if the LL is not meeting any of what is expected by them then advise the agency and then tell them you are giving them notice that you are leaving, do it all right and they cant keep your deposit

Not unless you are prepared to go to court! The contract is binding so you can't just leave, well you could if you want to continue paying til the end of the contract.....
