I have a dell lapop, but when i switch it on the pointer keeps moving even when i have not touched the mouse, tried re installing windows but still get the same problem, pliz help thanks

Actually I had the same problem. But I had an optical mouse with red light cooming under it. What I discovered was, if I put it on a colorful and glossy mousepad, or on a table, then it will start moving automatically on the screen. I don't want to explain the science behind it, but if you put a dull paper,or a piece of cloth under the mouse, the problem is solved. It is as simple as that.

do you have one of those little knob things on your keyboard that you can move the mouse with. if so its slightly off center. if not try going to the dell website to support and downloads and download a new driver for your mouse. good luck
