My boyfriend is french and we will be getting married in france. The problem is I do not have a solid track record on the job thing and to go to paris and get married I will have to quit my job. Any ideas on how I should handle the income situation and how the whole procedure happens??

This situation causes the hair on the back of my neck to stand up.!!! If this man wants to spend the rest of his life with you here in America, I suggest HE get a job and prove financial and emotional integrity by going through the process of immigration to the US. You know the old saying.."anything worth having is worth working for". I say..let him do the work if he wants to be here with you.

I know things have changed but, when I came to the states 10 years ago me and my husband had a hard time at the immg. office. We got married here and I came over on a 3 month visa, lots and lots of paperwork, after serval attempts at the immg. office we decided to go and see a immg. lawyer, it cost us about 1500 but it was worth it he took care of all the paperwork thats involeved and even went to the immg. office with us. Took all the headache out of it. My husband was unemp. at the time as well.
