The original destination of the planes where to fly to California. Those planes had a lot of fuel since they were flying coast to coast so the terrorists hijacked those ones. The destinations for the attacks were for the Twin Towers, Pentagon, & the plane that crashed in Pennsylvania was headed to the Capitol Building or White House.

The bulk of the damage was caused by the jet fuel on fire and not by the impact of the planes...

well, three hit their target -- but i believe the one in PA was headed for the captiol in dc. -- their actual desination was on the west coast -- b/c they had so much fuel -- thats why the terrorist wanted to fly them
