Whether the wedding is at a registry office or in a church there is a registrar present, this may be the clergy. Their job is to check everything is legal and draw up the marriage licence. Once the vows have been exchanged and the marriage is legal you will be given your marriage licence immediately and should not have to send it anywhere!

Why and where would you send it? You get it on the wedding day after you have signed it. I got married last year so I know! If it is you getting married then I hope you have a really lovely day.

You don't send it away you get a copy after you sign the register.

Well in Dallas, TX your officiant submits it to the Dallas County Clerk where they record it / file it / process it, then they send you back the original copy. They said it takes 4 to 6 weeks after they receive it to process it and send it back to you at the address you submitted when applying for the license.

I think I got mine on the day!!! You get it after you sign the register! This was in a registry office, it might be different in church! Hope this helps.

Why did you send it away?
did you need expired points or an old endorsement taking of of it?

depends on where you sent it. go to your local registry office and get it done there. it can take a couple of days if you drop it in
