On one of Mondays programs, I believe they said about 27 were unaccounted for. Not sure how they came up with that figure.
Out of the 2900+ that died, maybe these were rescuers,etc.

good question, I'll watch for the answer, sadly it is still alot, and unless it is someone who used this as an opportunty to get out of dodge, they won't be found God bless the families

They didn't find most of them. They have tried to find them through DNA but last I heard they only identified about 500.

i read that 1800 were unidentified and that they were searching the rooftops of other nearby bldgs for remains
