A friend of mine has some sort of virus or worm on his pc that he can't track down. It seems to be connected with yahoo, so far. His IM constantly crashes, regardless of the version he uses, and every time he does a yahoo search, clicking on the first link takes him to a random page, such as Travelocity. Clicking on the menu next to the Back button shows nothing but 'Continue'. Clicking on the back button takes him back to the yahoo search page, after which, things are fine. He hasn't had time to test with Google or MSN search engines yet.

Does anyone know what this might be? Thanks

ETA: He doesn't use yahoo mail, so it isn't the 'safety browser' bug.

tell him to use an anti-virus and spyware (if he doesn't have them). he can download them at http://www.majorgeeks.com just look on the left and you'll see "anti virus" and "spyware". there is this good anti-virus program called AVG, it's free too. so tell him to download it. let him scan his computer in the safe mode, and tell him to turn off system restore (by right-clicking on "my computer", then "properties". click on the "system restore" tab, then check "turn off system restore". after scanning, you can turn it on by the same way, just uncheck it.

good luck.

It feels like the people at Netzero have been attempting responsible issues on Yahoo. nonetheless, that's often good to be secure. Get your self a competent, unfastened anti-virus application, besides as some good, unfastened anti-spyware classes. As for good, unfastened anti-virus classes... I incredibly have under no circumstances enjoyed any of those i've got attempted. assorted the great anti-virus people furnish unfastened trials, despite if. Anti-spyware classes i might propose could be Spybot S&D, Yahoo's Anti-undercover agent (it comes with their toolbar), Hijack This (great for browser hijackers, yet extra for greater consumers), and spyware Blaster. As consistently, it is nice to examine issues you are going to acquire. i individually have used those products for years however, with satisfaction. wish I helped.

if you get traffic to your site, search engines will index your webiste, and also it will take your keywords and give importance to your keyword. so traffic is the most important thing in internet,

there are two things:
1) one is traffic
1) second is quality traffic

am talking about a website which has a 500 arround alexa traffic rank, and about 6/10 google's page rank.

get a free back link from this site, get a lot of free traffic, in this site you get free credits, and with that you get free traffic.

everything is free, http://www.trafficswarm.com/go.cgi?53747...
just get some easy traffic, also first 50 credits will activate you account, and then you will get your 100 free credits, then on you get free credits, with that you get free traffic.
Source(s):

get a disclaimer, privacy policy, terms and conditions, site maps, etc, these helps rankings,

also http://www.harmu.com for paid quality traffic, advertise on time basis, not on cost of clicks,
