useing reverse is great no mater which way you park it is the lowest gear in your manual transmission and will hold fine however as an added safty i always set my ebrake

No - if the incline is downhill. If uphill, park in the lowest gear. In other words, park in the gear against the grade you're on. Also, turn front wheels toward to curb - or kerb if in UK.

I'll assume that you have a manual transmission, if this is true, then it is ok to park it in reverse but you should always set the hand brake too.

It is always better to put it in park and put you're E brake up I would not take the chance.

If it's automatic, you can't even take the keys out unless it's in "P" so you must be talking about manual.

If you have a manual gearbox, then no. If you have an automatic transmission, then yes.
