I bought these 4 volumes from a friend recently and can't find how much they're worth. They were published in 1899 and are in great condition.

Hey Russel G.,

$60.00 for 5 out of 6 volumes at this site. They are missing the 6th volume. My guess is $48 dollars for the 4 volumes you have. If the site below has 5 of 6 volumes for $60, divide $60 by 5 volumes they have which = $12 each, times the 4 volumes you have = $48 for 4 volumes.

Hi,

I've been doing a search for the 6 vol. set of Ellis's history of the United States and have found the price to be in accord with the person that answered your question before me. 12.00 each. The shipping is pretty hefty as the full 6 vol. set weighs 40 pounds. And then there packaging. Sometimes UPS is cheaper than USPS but not always.

I would be interested in your four vol.'s if you want to sell them.
