I'd go with the defensive backfield pass rush is great so a backfield could really help out the defense a new safety would be good but a corner to finally shut down that #1 reciever

I disagree that the Eagles have much to worry about at cornerback. Sure, it would be nice to have Lito healthy and active. However, I have confidence that Rod Hood can get the job done. In fact, I don't think that the Eagles need to really focus on any position at this point. (Although picking up a CB isn't a bad idea.) Right now what they really need to focus on is strategy, especially in 2 key areas: 1. We need to run the ball more. We're doing better but it's still unbalanced... about 70/30 in favor of the pass. I think Buckhalter has some big play ability there. and 2. We need better coverage schemes, especially against strong offenses (like the one we're going to face Sunday against NY). Jim Johnson does a great job with the blitz packages but we can't open them up down the field for big plays. We need to force turn-overs and prevent 3rd down conversions. And this goes for every team we face. I think we have a solid team in place. We just need good reads and good play-calling to get us to Miami. This weekend will be a big test for the birds... I think we can handle it.
And "audemars", we're not really looking for a #1, we're looking to spread the ball around. Also, Stallworth hasn't been able to prove himself as a #1 because he's always been #2 behind Horn. We're alright @ WR.

Has everyone who has answered this question gone back in time???

Defensive line? Did you not see the rotation last week?

Quaterback with heart? Name one quaterback that actually has more heart than McNabb!

Running Back ? Buckhalter is back healthy and more productive than before and we have Ryan Moats as a future Prospect!

Cornerback? Mostly Pro Bowl players and Rod Hood is rated higher than Lito Shepperd and Sheldon Brown anyway!

Wide Reciever? You tell me how you can keep T.O away from the media! Did you want Andy Reid to keep him locked in a room until game day!! The passing game is more effective when McNabb gets to spread it around anyway!

More Balance? 30 Rushing plays to 35 passing plays (46% to 54%) is about as close a balance as you want when you have a quaterback who can throw like McNabb!

The Eagles are doing fine, the coaching staff know who they need and when they need them they will go out and get them! Andy Reid is one of the best Coachs around for doing that!

There are a few question marks over ages at certain positions but the eagles also have a lot of young backups who will be pro bowl players in the not too distant future!!

Have faith Eagles fans! We will be back at the top of NFC East at the end of this season!!

king midas says a Qb with some heart??? shut ur mouth. i must disagree with the cornerback answer (i would say the eagles could use some help at CB-- they are ALRIGHT but not great) .I think they need a RB that can pound the ball up the middle. defenses are constantly playing 'spread' against the eagles because of their aerial attack, so if PHI is able to pound it inside then they would be UNSTOPPABLE.

A Quarterback with some heart for starters, a running back because Westbrook is a receiver, and a new head coach because you don't get rid of a receiver like TO you keep him away from the media.

they need some DL help, and rb help. As we all saw last year once injuries took out some key players they had no backups. They need to draft a RB to spell westbrook and to carry some of the load

I don't really think adding Dante Stallworth stabilizes their Wide Recievers. It's not like he's a REAL #1 WR. He's decent enough, but they still need a big playmaking WR.
