Do you normally have trouble breathing or is it the new meds.well i have asthma and yes singular is prescribed for asthma as well as allergies which i also have, but id say if your having trouble breathing i would stop taking that and tell your doctor about it,i use advair for my asthma that is only for asthma, and nasal spay as well as allergy pills if im having a serious attack! but do whats best for you,and take care.i also use that with an inhaled steroid. PS.a friend

Ok....used to treat both. But your doctor gave you the inhaler because your allergies are constricting your airway. So use your inhaler as needed approximately every 4 hours if really bad or couple puffs twice day. Once you get your allergies under control then your breathing problem should subside. This year has been particularly horrible on allergies

its for both usually prescribed for asthma but they did a study and found out that it also works for allergies. make sure you always have that inhaler with you because even though singular works to open up constucted airways if you are having problems breathing you need to keep a fast acting inhaler with you at all times.
