I am 35 weeks pregnant with my second child. With my first, I had almost no prelabor symptoms or at least didn't recognize them. About a week and a half ago, I lost part of my mucus plug. At my doctor's appointment yesterday, my doctor checked and was able to feel the baby's head during a cervical check. I was not dilated, but the doctor said that my cervix is very soft now. I can feel the baby's head on the pelvic floor now and am peeing all the time!! I have been super emotional the past few days, crying over songs on the radio and stuff like that. How much longer do you all think I have before this baby is born?

It sounds like you have about 1 to 1 1/2 weeks to go. What has always sparked my curiosity of if it was time to go in or not was when I got that cleaning bug. Cleaned the house from top to bottom, I always knew it was about that time. With my first my doctor told me I was in labor, went for a regular check up and he was like ummmm you are 4 cm.

can't say how much longer. time can pass in between stuff. if you lost part of the plug...that's one. cervix softening...that's one. the baby is down...that's one. baby might have dropped if you noticed a sudden desire to pee all the time....that's one. the emotional stuff i wouldn't say means much.

I know exactly how you feel, you want it to happen NOW! Nobody knows when it's going to happen. I know you probably hate hearing this, but the baby will come when he/she is ready.
From what you've said though it definitely won't be long.

That's what they call nestling... your horomones are starting to prepare you for one hell of a ride. your mucus plug is gone! you will start dialating very soon...
becareful with sex sinve the plug is gone by the way...
