Well, there is the town of Blarney (abnout 45 min by bus) and the castle (don't forget to kiss the stone!)

Fota Wildlife Park is right off the rail line between Cork and Cobh where you can walk amoungs the animals such as peacocks, wallabies, kangaroos, etc.

Cobh (Cove) was the last port of call for the Titanic as well as a major port during the potato famine emigration. It has nice views and a good history museum.

Cork City is great, but the smaller towns are better. Go to places like Kildorerry or Mitchellstown. Blarney is also a great place to see. Check out cork's website.

Cobh (used to be called queenstown) was the point of emmigration for 3 million irish people. If you have ancestors that left Ireland there is a 99% chance they left from there (spacifically from Heartbreak Pier behind the "Titanic Bar & Restaurant")

Just dont go there at night or youll get mugged, raped or killed!

Cork city. Nice enough by itself, only a few miles away from some nice sights like blarney castle, cashel rock, cobh(where your grandfather probably left for...)
