I am a 30 yo female, who is too busy to follow fashion. Tomorrow, i have to wear my "coolest" clothes in NY. I need some basic advice as to what that could be. Pictures would help too :o).

We really need more info from you. Is it casual, formal ?
If you're in a rush just check some magazines like Glamour , People or a Victoria's Secret or Spiegel catalog to check what everyone else is wearing now a days.

What is the occassion? Decide if it's a daytime event or evening.
Leggings, belts, skinny jeans would all look cool with a pretty top and heels. If its the evening you could wear a dress or trousers with a sexy top. Wear make up, light jewellery and some perfume.

First of all, wear something you are comfortable in, if you wear something that you feel uncomfortable in it will show on your face and in your body language. Second you can't go wrong with black ( I am not talking gothic black, but more classy black) and then some fun accessories, but don't wear too many because then you look gaudy. Black pants, hot looking shirt with a cute little jacket over it (maybe, depends on weather), great shoes, sexy earrings, cute bag and you can't go wrong

can't go wrong with black pants ever! with a heel is nice. but maybe not during the day. ballet flatts are cute with croped dark jeans.

if i were you, id wear some capris, a navy green t-shirt, and some potatoe shoes. just be your self!
