I would assume that his contract wasn't extended by the network since he was probably one of the lamest game show hosts (although I think he tried hard to be ok). John O'Hurley makes a much better replacement.

I haven't watched Family Feud in forever...was that the guy who use to play Al on Home Improvement? Maybe the shows producers wanted a younger or funnier host? Maybe his contract was up? Sorry I was no help.
