Depends upon where you are now, where you came here from, & what your original reason or goal was for coming here. Every day of life is precious, & you shouldn't force yourself to remain stuck in a place or situation where you are very unhappy or lonely. I would say, make a list of all your original reasons or goals for coming here, then make a list of all your reasons for going back to wherever your family & friends are. Something must have motivated or caused you to come here. Pay close attention to how you feel as you write out your lists. If your original goals or reasons for being here still feel important to you, then stay, & see what can be done to bring your family or friends here with you, or to make a visit to your old home soon. If the original goals or reasons that caused you to come here no longer feel important to you, then go back home to be close to family & old friends. It's normal to feel homesick or lonely sometimes. If you want to stay here, but need friends here, then try attending foreign student organizations at a local college, going to a local church (or whatever house of worship applies to your faith), or looking online or in the local newspaper for activities & groups to join that relate to your favorite interests. If you have to wait a long time while you save up $$ to go home, or to bring relatives or friends here, then you might try providing a foster home for a pet from the local SPCA, shelter, or animal rescue group. Don't adopt a pet permanently, until you decide where you are going to live permanently or long-term. But many rescue groups & shelters need foster homes for their animals, until those animals can be placed in permanent homes. Pets can give unconditional love & companionship, & caring for a pet gives you a reason to get up & keep on going when times are tough. You might want to see a counselor, maybe an academinc counselor, pastor / religious counselor, or counselor at a local clinic. Seeking counseling does not mean you're weak or sick. It can be a healthy way to get help sorting out your feelings, options, & decisions. And you can also meet some new friends online. I'll be one of your online friends, if you want. Take care!

Because you're going to make friends and visit your family. Besides, wouldn't your family want you to be in a place where you make the most of your life?

Look in your heart..if this isnt what you really want, and if you are wishing that you were closer to home, go there. Try calling someone, anyone-especially family. Tell them how you feel. Im sure if they truly care, they will help you in some way....good luck

I don't know. What made you move here in the first place? Whatever those reasons were might still be relevant.
