I think the internet has polluted society with more pornography, there are times I'm searching for something that has nothing to do with porn, but it will flash porn websites all over. This gives our children the wrong impression to what sex is all about. Don't get me wrong the internet has it's good points, but for the most part like you said, a lot of the ugly side of humanity is shown.

The internet gives the illusion of massive amounts of information - but we all know that we can't believe everything that we read there.
It also gives a false sense of anonymity. We all know that everything we do is being tracked, studied, and can be pulled to be used against or for us should the need arise.
It also gives us instant communication gratification. Now I'm able to talk to my grandma every day over the Net. Whereas if we had to write to each other in the traditional way, it would have taken weeks at a time.
Certainly this false sense of anonymity brings out the ugly in some, the bold in others, and the free in others still. It's a necessary evil.

the internet has its advantages and its disavantages. its good because it lets us fing out what we need to know without leaving our home.t also makes it easier to do things like writing an essy and/or trying to find out what is the menu for the corner resturant.but it has its disadvantages like ichildren having access to porn or aldut rated sites.there is also a huge number of ads on the sites especially the kids sites......but over all it has helped society in a way that we have been able to change for the better.

I think the Internet as made it much easier for pedophiles to access and exchange pictures. Also with chat rooms anyone can pretend to be anybody and this too is very scary.

People are much lazier with access to the internet. Remember when research meant that you had to go to the library, or, god forbid, look a company up in the Yellow Pages and then... gulp... call them?
