Long distance relationships are hard enough when both people are trying their best to make them work. When only one person is trying the odds are that it will fail. The best approach is probably to just be friends and live their lives assuming nothing will happen between them. Then if life happens to change and they can be together then they can start from that point and go forward.

No, long distance relationships DO NOT work out, it takes two to make it! I just got out of one and glad I did!!! It was too much of a hassle and since everything is over the phone you don't see the person's facial expressions or sincerity when they talk to you. It's easy to say I love you, I'll do this and that for you, because they're just words....meaningless unless you act upon it. It's really hard to make it because even though the love is in your heart, it's not there physically...so think about it real good before following through...I took a chance...and it didn't work out quite well for me...

im Living proff that it can work. I live in New York and my fiance is in Milwaukee...we see each other every month. Its hard but if your serious about the relationship you need to put the time effort...both of you.
Long distance shouldn't be long distance for too long it get expensive and lonely ...so make move..my fiance is moving over here early next year.
Think positive and good luck

i'm. We lived 7 hours away and had a protracted distance relationship for a year. We then moved in at the same time and married 6 months later. i'm unlikely to lie, the transition to being with one yet another daily became hard, yet loving one yet another made us paintings to remedy our issues. Now we are fortuitously married, get alongside great and are looking forward to spending consistently at the same time... interior an identical abode. not extra long distance.

i think it will work out if both person are committed to each other..cuz my bf lives in Cali and i lived in GA and we're still together..i mean it's hard cuz we won't get to see each other, we could onlly talk on the phone....so it's base on if you trust ur bf or gf or not..!!!! i trusted my bf and he trusted in me......and plus, ur friend have to find time for each other.. i fly back to cali to see my bf and be wid him in july for my bday.. and now, he's coming to see me in november....so wish ur friend luck..if they realy want to be together than, they have to find time for love ones!!!
