I agree with Heather. My husband is totally against it also. But he is definatly not gay. Some men are just disguisted at the fact that two men are together in that fashion. Also, for my husband; It has alot to do with the way he was raised and what he believes in.

NO.
My husband cannot stand gays and it is not because he thinks he might have felt that way at some point. He is truly discussed by them. It makes him sick to his stomach to think two men would actually touch each other.
BTW I would be interested in WHO did the "study", How it was done and HOW MANY people were actually studied.
I don't think any true "homophob"(even though there is no such real word) would admit they were aroused by gay porn. Did they have someone watching their vitals, or check for any slight erection or what. Get Real. I think that is a lie.

Maybe the "homophobes" were molested as children by men they trusted. The "homophobe" knows he's technically gay but does not want to face the world because of the shame and the stigma. So, the "homophobe" lashes out at anyone who is gay as a means of lashing out at the molester.
That does not excuse homophobia in my book but could offer a plausible explanation to why "homophobes" act the way they do.

Some men that I have came across that would be the first people to use the "F" word (when reffering to gay men) and just bash gay men for no apparent reason, seemed like they had issues with their own sexuality to me. Whether it be the fact that they aren't sure or are just scared I don't know , but they seemed the most suspect to me. Those also usually turn out to be DOWN LOW BROTHAS lol.
Sadness.

Well I did have this friend who despised gay people and anytime they mentioned homosexuality he would get into a rant about killing them etc... But the thing is I was at a party and we were all having a good time and a friend of his who went to prison with him was getting annoyed with his behaviour and mentioned the fact that he had relations in prison with someone and used to sneak into their Cell Room his reaction was unreal he became very nervous and attempted to explain but the room was silent and he didn't speak for the night

Don't surprise me. A lot of them are probably in the closet. Thanks to Christianities views on homosexuality we have phycho homophobes who's only reason to be homophobic is because their afraid that they are gay. It's a great way for people to automatically assume they are straight.

oh, I've heard of such a study. and I think there is a very good chance that a lot of the homophobes probably are closet cases.

no but i do think some of them have had an experience that they are ashamed of or have had male on male fantasies,or they are turned on by men and don't really want anyone to know because they will be labeled gay,but men being turned on by men and fantasies, even experiences doesn't make someone gay.its about how they think they will be perceived by other people,or some men just don't want to come out, wether it be because of their job, family, religious beliefs, etc.

I definately believe that. I really think most men are gay. I really think also that they will screw anything whether it be a hole in a plaster wall or animal to get it off.
