If you are... Why are you? What is your reason?
If you are not... Why are you not? What are your reasons?
Do you believe that people are nice for the sake of being nice, or nice or decent or kind, to either show themselves as better than... socially, or to get a desired, preconceived responce from them in exchange for their kindness. Almost as if it were some kind of currency.
I believe that MOST people show effection and kindness and decency BECAUSE... and with the intent of getting it back.
After all, what good is it, if it is only reserved for those you KNOW will give it in return? and you treat everyone else like crap (usually in the exact same way you accuse) because you know they wont be nice to you ahead of time?
What do you think?
Personally, I'm not an overly gushing or "nice" or kind person, because there is nothing I want from you and I have nothing to prove to you and I dont give a rats butt if that makes you better than I am.

I am nice... when and where I feel it is appropriate and deserved. Plain and simple.

I'm always nice because first and foremost, God is watching. Second because it is the right thing to do. I have been through alot of horrible life experiences and have had to learn alot of things the hard way. I have also learned alot of things the hard way even after people have tried to stop me before I hurt myself. I know people are good when taught well and given the right life opportunities, when they aren't feeling jilted by others and when they get the attention they seek. People are bad at putting themselves in others shoes, but I am not. Therefore it is my responsibility to do the right thing, because I have a talent for helping people. I want nothing in return nor do I expect it. God may reward me later, he may not. But besides what I care about what God thinks, what is important to me is that I do the right thing. Hope this helps.

Usually I am very very friendly and nice to everyone.. I will talk to people in line at the store.. the store clerks.. smile at people walking.. wave at my neighbors..
Why you ask.. because it might brighten someones day or make them feel good. Life is way to short to be all mean or in a bad mood.. Most people arent this way and somedays I get mad when I wave or am nice to people (hold doors or say hi wave or something nice ) and I dont get response out of them.. but then I think o well.. I tried!
What goes around comes around..

I am a decent person. I am nice to strangers but not overly kind. Sometimes I find it easier to be nicer to strangers than to my family. That is because my family feels like a bunch of strangers a lot. It also takes me along time to become friends with people and get close to them.

I'm generally very nice and outgoing to everyone. Of course I'm reserved if I feel I need to be in certain situations, but I've always just felt like being nice makes me feel happy. I think sometimes I get mistaken as being fake but everyone who really knows me know that it's just in my nature to be that way and I'm a very genuine person. Everyone has bad days, and if someone is rude to me I don't have much to do with them. In general I have always found that if you are nice to others they will be nice back. I just can't imagine being any other way.

certain, for one we witness michael getting bashed adequate and do not prefer to inflict it on everybody else. If i see an excessively repeated Jonas brothers question i do not say "eww they suck." this is in basic terms even as an same questions are flooded atleast 10-15 circumstances an afternoon i recommend they search for first before asking, on the grounds that there are countless pages of solutions. Plus you won't be able to fairly be an MJ fan without taking some staying power to study about him because human beings attempt to bash us and we also prefer to entice close the reality. Any"hater" of any celeb or individual commonly in a lot of circumstances in basic terms say issues they listen from tabloids/rumours or issues they /favor/ to take heed to, fairly of easily looking something out. And certain on the grounds that Michael is such an staggering individual and style and giving, he impacts us! a number of his videos are so good, like in Earth track even as there develop right into a childrens arm achieving for a tree and it pulled away as a chainsaw quickly bolted in the front of it to decrease down the tree. I consistently understand that scene...

I treat people the way they treat me. If you're an a$$hole to me, I"ll be a bit@h back. If you're nice to me then I will do the same. I don't believe in respect, I think it's over rated. I feel that respect is something earned and never given freely. My motto is treat others the way you would like to be treated and nothing more!!!

I don't know that I am nice, or kind or decent to strangers. I can only try to be as respectful as I expect to be treated in return. I am not nice or kind or decent when I meet a stranger who is lost... I am as considerate as I would hope someone else would be with me.
I neither lower myself nor do I let anyone lower me to their level. I'd rather bring someone up to my level by being firm in my ways and with my attitude and conduct.

I like to observe people I don't know and try to understand what kind of person he/she is. Sometimes I'm nice and kind... and I usually smile and say a few jokes. But if I don't trust the person I can be very distant and cold.

I am nice and polite to people. If they are rude in return I have nothing else to do with them. Kill them with kindness? I just can't do it.
