Avatars are small graphical images that you may choose in your profile. They are displayed by your username on all posts that you make. You can select the image that best describes yourself from your profile options.
Avatars are really so popular this days. esp in instant messenger like YM...
Why is that so?
Maybe because Avatars expresses your mood... or maybe because It represents you in some ways...?
It's just that everyone has a specific reason for using avatars...
well for me... I use it cause it has all this really cool features like gadgets. (check my avatar) lol...

It is in your profile...
Click on "My Q&A" (top right)
Click on "Edit my Info" (below your avatar).
You'll see under PICTURE... click the radio button, "Use my Yahoo! Avatar".
then click on the "Edit my Yahoo! avatar".
That's it!
Make sure to edit it and select your new avatar when done.

click on ur avatar.....n u r directed to yahoo avatars...
there u can customise ur avatar by choosing different outfits/backgrounds etc.
