Yes we do accumulate but we have to cook them and eat.The mol formula of chlorophyll is C40H72 O5 N4 Mg.It is degraded into small atoms/molecules and absorbed. So it can not be used in our body for food preparation.

When you eat you digest the food. The chlorophyll is broken down and used in your body for what ever it needs the molecules for. When we eat meat---beef, chicken, pork, lamb, venison, any poultry, fish--- The protein is digested into 23 amino acids. These amino acids are put back together in our body to make human protein. If a person is a vegitarian, then they have to think about getting a wide variety of plant protein food to make sure that they have the essential amino acids necessary for making human protein.
