There is no such thing as a perfect parent - everyone makes mistakes and parents can also make mistakes and make the wrong choices. Although my mom is quite close to being perfect! She is my best friend and I am so comfortable talking to my mom about anything. She is very understanding, open minded and more of a friend that a parent, although that's not always a good thing. I think the key to being a good parent is to earn respect from your children, not demanding it by being a good role model. Also being respectful towards their decisions and behaviour as a person, not as your child. As hard is it is, you must remember they are individuals. Parents must also realise that the best way to learn from a mistake is to do it, hurt from it, regret it and never doing it again , but doing it knowing that your parents will support you NO MATTER WHAT!All parents have their good qualities and their weaknesses.

The perfect parent.... A person who treats you with respect, and demands respect themselves. Someone who loves you unconditionally and wants nothing but to see you happy. Someone who lights up when there children walk in the room no matter how hard there day has been. Someone who can drop anything at any moment to be there for there children. Someone who is your friend when you need one, and a parent when you don't know you need one.

No parent is perfect. No one is perfect.

All you can do is your best, be understanding, offer good advice and steer them right from wrong. Let them know you are always there for them if they have a problem and encourage them in the good choices they make.

Nobody on this earth can be a perfect parent. We all have different views and outcomes. There is no guide to parenting. You just do what you think is best for your children.

well my dad is really close to a perfect parent he knows hes not always right and reall gets my point when i talk to him he also is super funny and lets me be crazy around him. he is never ashamed of me or what i did and he knows that kids will make mistakes why push them away? he believes in letting kids be kids be kids then telling them why something is wrong after they did it instead of locking them up and not letting them experience life. I really don't no what i would do without my dad.
