Stay with it! It will get better. Quitting is hard. Have a coke, there is a little caffeine in it and it will help the headache cuz smoking is really a stimulant (did you know that?). YOU CAN DO IT. I did it and it saves hundreds of dollars per year plus is healthy.

good for you girl!

words of advice:
1. try to avoid behavior triggers until you have a better handle on quitting (like if you drank when smoked - try to limit exposure to that atmosphere)

2. have a coffee or a coke to help with the headache - the other guy was right - it's a stimulant, but it does help with the headaches

3. please do not replace food for your cigarette - try chewing gum instead or if you really must munch - try carrots

4. exercise - when I quit (and I still relapse from time to time) the strongest motivator was that I don't have the same lung capacity when I run or bike if I was smoking the night before - it's just a good immediate, physical reminder of why you quit

good luck!

keep up the good work! my Dad quit smoking with the help of lemon drops candy. But i'm sure any flavor would do. buy some hard candy that you like and suck on them.
for you head ache use a cool wash cloth on your forehead, lay down and close your eyes. if that dose'nt ease it take one tylenol with a full glass of water.drink lots of fluids through out the day.you are doing good just keep trying, good luck to you.

When my mom decided to quit smoking she went and got hypnotized Its going on like 5 years now that she quit. My dad called 1800 no butts and he was using the patch but then he got to cheap to buy the patch and tried to cut them in half (didnt work! hes a funny guy like that) he said that 1800 no butts really helped him with suggestions and encouragement.but honestly inst ready to quit. when I quit smoking it was because they became to expensive and it was either feed my child or stop smoking. guess what I picked! Good luck!

It may be hard but just hang on in there. YOU CAN DO IT!!!
You've already made the step in the right direction. Just keep in mind that you are doing what's best for you. It's better that you CHOSE to quit rather than being forced to quit by your doctor.
Keep yourself preoccupied with other things.

hi, well done for quitting, you will find that your head hurts and you have lots of other ailments as your body detoxes from tobacco, but keep up the good work as it wont last long andyou will increase your life span - just think a longer life, but a miserable one coz you cant smoke. Oops sorry lost my train of thought for a moment. seriously well done!!!!

Whatever you are going through, you're health is improving, your body is adjusting to the lack of nocotene in your system, keep up the good work, you will add years to your health, you will look younger, you will save money, so you can treat yourself more often. You will also smell nicer, your teeth will look whiter, good luck.

The headache may be due to toxic buildup in the body. I would try massage therapy, chiropractic, or even accupuncture to help rid the body of these toxins. Good Luck and hang in there, you will make it!!!!
