If you want to buy one, you mean a condo not an apartment.
You will have to be more specific about what area/state/city you want to live in. I paid $2000 a month in San Francisco 10 years ago for a 2 bedroom. In Savannah, GA a 2 bedroom runs around $500 a month now. So you can see the prices vary greatly countrywide.
OK, we know you want to buy, but we still don't know where. So here is the stupid answer to your stupid question. Apartments cost $1 to $20,000,000 in the USA.

The cost of an apartment depends upon what part of the United States you are interested in living. The cost difference can be anywhere from 2 to 10 times. In the crowded cities such as New York, Washington D.C., and San Francisco, a two bedroom apartment can be several thousand dollars per month.
If you live in a small community or a place where employement is depressed, you can get an apartment for as little as $400.
The cost also depends upon whether the apartment is furnished and how the utility costs are divided.
Here is an example of an apartment locator website in Houston Texas to give you an idea.

Apartments in New York City can sell for between $500,000 to several million dollars. Very few cities outside of the largest cities in the USA sell apartments. In most cities, the closest you'll come to an apartment is a condominium. I've seen television programs of what some of those expensive New York City apartments look like inside, and often they are small dumps! You would never see someone where I come from pay such an inflated price for such a small trashy apartment. For that much money you can get a 6,000 s.f. home in many parts of the USA. New York City is the most expensive place to live in the USA. Many people can't afford to rent in good neighborhoods without roommates.

Price really depends what city you live in. Apartments in Houston run anywhere from $669.00 to 1500.00 and then again on the East side of houston you can get a 2 bdrm for about 425.00. I live on the North side by Houston Intercontinential Airport and price for a 2 bdrm start at 800.00 a month. My advice is call Fannie Mae and buy a house

What a question.. the cost would depend on WHERE you are.. If in New York city, the cost could be as high as $2,000 a month and then down in Hobokomum, Missouri, it could cost around $400 tdo $500 a month... In most other states, you should count on around $850 a month.. Sorry I can not be more exact because it depends entirely on location.. Even in San Francisco, the cost could be $1,500 a month...

Anywhere from 15000 in the slums to 1.5 million in the big city! I watched a TV show on rental property in the bigger cities and was floored whe I saw people actually pay that much for a friggin apartment and thats not the building, its the apartment itself!

you're searching at something upwards of 25k searching on the layout, plus you would possibly want to wish making plans permission, the numerous complications you'll discover are, operating expenses, electric powered upkeep for trapdoors and so on, a more cost-effective option is a smaller piranha tank or in basic terms an acid bathtub

Very very different prices for different places. Here in Boston, you can get a decent two bedroom apartment for $1500 (anything cheaper than that is much cheaper in quality!) but you can get a nice apartment in North Carolina for $700.

What state and area are you in? That is something that has a big impact on the price. Try searching on the internet and comparing prices.
www.rent.com
www.apartmentfinder.com
Those are a couple of great websites to try.
