I would like to bring this big company in I can see the oppertunity here. A new highway going in, the right location. The closest store of it's type is an half hour drive oneway.
Any idea's on how to apporch them?

If they have franchises, then perhaps you can open a franchise or convince a friend who is in a better position if that does not fit your situation.

If they do not have franchises, it will probably be a lot more difficult to get their attention. You could try working through the local chamber of commerce or other such organization to contact the company with some benefits of considering this location.

Big Companies have very specific demographic and geographic requirements set out for new developments.

COntact the company's development group or division and ask them what they are. Have them fax or email it to you.

Then see if you can put together their requirements.

I do this all the time for "big companies" usually big retailers but even a few manufacturing plants.

It is how I make a living. If you think it is real good and want me to work it with you send the details. But this is a dog eat dog world and I wouldn't tell anyone!

Try to consult thru your local business association which they might help you to get some contacts of the business companies. You may also approach thru the oversea embassy for foreign investors.
