Call your Dr. and get in NOW. The period like cramps were the begining of labor pains for me. My daughter was born 24 hrs after the pain started. GOOD LUCK!

Not at all. All that is is your little guy getting into position for birth. It's nothing more than pressure. If the pains become regular, then you should be worried. You are probably just experiencing some braxton-hicks and those are normal for those who are past 20 weeks. Feel lucky, I lost my mucus plug with my first daughter at 27 weeks and here I am at 30 weeks with my second and not even a little bit of dilation.

Being a second time mom, I think you should be concerned. DON"T PANIC! However, let your doctor know, and they might want to put you on restrictions or bed rest. (Which is ok, if it helps the baby) It could possibly be nothing, but I doubt it, chances are that is the beginning of your labor stage. Like you said though it can be month/s away yet. Better relax and take it easy though.
S&S of early pregnancy - never to be ignored.
Any bleeding
Heaviness in abdomen - pressure.
Contractions
Period like pains
Lessened fetal movement.

Sounds to me like your starting early labor and may want to have it checked out. Also can take the chance of infection like that. Yes I would be concerned and get medical attention immediately. Good luck

Go to the doctor NOW! Why are you asking that here?!? Your body can be preparing itself to abort the child. Don't take any chances! You might lose the baby if you go into labor too soon.

Yes, if you are having cramps you need to see the doctor. Do not hesitate to call your OB.
It may be nothing, but it could be something! You may need to have an ultrasound to rule out any problems...just go!
Blessed Be!
