I like Goodfellas probably the best too. I don't really like the fact that it is the story of a rat, but it is still great. Personally I think they need to make a lot more. Mob stories make great movies but they don't make enough good ones. I hope that new one 'The Departed' with Leonardo Dicaprio, Matt Damon,Jack Nicholson, Mark Walberg and Martin Sheen coming out next month will be great. Alec Baldwin has a small part in it too. Martin Scorssese is the director same as Goodfellas. Woooo!

It almost seems like blasphemy not to say Godfather 1 and 2, because they're two of the best movies ever made, but I don't think of those as "mob movies"... more like dramas about family.
For a pure "mob movie", it's hard to top Goodfellas.

Goodfellas is the best. It is all based on real stuff so that makes it more interesting. The Godfather is good but it is a very unrealistic and cleaned up view of mafia life. Some of the others are just to over the top. Scorsese is a genius

Casino....Joe Pesci's character is crazy. I know it isn't as much of a mob movie as Goodfellas,but I could watch casino over and over again.
