Aston Villa have had an amazing season but so have Pompey and Everton. On the other hand, just WHAT has happened to Blackburn?

Agreed. Aston Villa have a new and decidedly better manager. portsmouth have invested well in their squad, and Everton have added a quality striker to their customary solidity. Blackburn haven´t started well. I reckon they miss Craig Bellamy´s pace and abilities as an attacking outlet. But Mark Hughes is a very sound manager, and they will rise up the league.

Villa have had a great start to the season bearing in mind they have only signed one new player. What a player however. He looked very good against West Ham. They have appointed a top class manager who after a while out of the game has come back with renewed enthusiasm. If he can get another couple of class players in the January window Villa will be a force again. Portsmouth are also doing well. Again they have a wily old manager who knows what it takes to survive and flourish in the premiership. Having said that Redknapp has had a lot of money to spend. I am amazed he remembers the names of his players as he signs that many. Everton have also got a manager who I rate very highly. Signing Johnson could be the steal of all time. He looks the business and if Beatty starts to perform as we know he can they will have some strike force. As to Blackburn I think it too early in the season to judge but I do agree they must be feeling the loss of Bellamy. I would back Mark Hughes to get them back on track soon as he is another good manager.

losing bellamy wouldnt have helped.
liverpool are off to a pretty poor start as well
