Of course they want. Actually, i think that Blair wants, that is why he continued to humiliate himself as Bush's lapdog for the better part of this millennium. Blair wanted to play with the big boys and does whatever Bush (or better Bush's henchmen) tell him to do. Blair is a spineless "leader" without any real impact on history or the results the U.S. is shooting (no pun intended) for.
Blair has degraded Great Britain to a vasall state of the U.S. I think it would be appropriate that Great Britain is renamed to "Lil' Brit" to reflect that status correctly. The Englisch should regain their identity by cutting the umbilical cord to Bush junta.

I think America and England will always have a tighter relationship than most countries
But I do feel that the British people like us much less because of Tony Blair. His unity with Pres Bush irritated the public, which now leaves a sour taste in their mouth
I hope we retain the relationship, but feel it is marred. Lets hope the next minister finds a way to balance the UK's own Identity, and its partnership with America

As you perhaps know, Bush and Blair are buddies and that spirit seems to have extended to people of both countries but whether it is real and long lasting is a debatable point! America and Iraq were reportedly on good terms once but see what happened to Sadam and his country!

I think that after the July 2005 bombings in London and the recent scares at Heathrow, most Brits feel uneasy about being seen as too close to the US. So No, for most.

I think this will depend on several things: trade relations, immigration & customs policy, extradiction, joint criminal investigations, and our own tourists, who are the "ambassadors on the street," wherever they go.
Britons understand that, claims not withstanding, our government is not so representative as a healthy democracy should be, or as Bush and the neocon/conservative government pretends it is. They are not so naive as to assume that Bush is acting on our wishes or even to our best interest. Therefore, it is up to the American people and the institutions which span the pond to keep up relations in our own limited ways.

Not if it involves a lot of further bending over, this is why Blair now has to go early.
We should have been offering you wise council on how to avoid the mess that Blair is personally is responsible for getting us all into, or at least stayed out of it as w. Vietnam.

NO! they have so many problems of their own, I don't think they want to abandon their relationship with America perhaps just put it on hold until bush & blair are both gone.

As the UK looks more like Pakistan, and the English are being replaced by turd-worlders, I think it's best if we let the Brits lose their civilization.
