Sri Lanka has produced many great players. In the past, they had Roy Dias, Dilip Mendis, Arjuna Ranatunga, Sidath Wittimuny, Arvinda DeSilva, Ranjan Madugalle, Asanka Gurusinha, etc and the present team has some world class players as well. I personally think there is no better than Muralitharan. In the past off spinners were used to slow down the score rate, they were not considered as wicket takers. Muralitharan has changed all that. Even though Lance Gibbs and Jim Laker are considered to be the best all time off spinners, but I think Muralitharan is way ahead of them.

Its true that Sanath Jaysuriya comes in alls mind next to Murali when someone is talking about Sri Lankan Cricket...He loves to cut & pull and lead an important role to win the 1996 Worldcup in which he became player of the tournament and also a fine batting display brought Sri Lanka until semis in the 2003 world cup. I loves to watch him even he is just defending the bowl without scoring a single run coz his actions are something unusual then the book cricket but it is really nice to see the style of his batting in world cricket...The way he adjust his helmet, pads and then starts to smash from the first over...MMM Fantastic

I like Sanath Jayasuriya as he is a dashing batsman and utility bowler. It is a pleasure to see his batting. He is capable of demoralising any bowler. He often provide breakthrough to his side by taking wickets at vital point.
