I know this isn't soccer related but let's just take a moment to pray for the 8,373 killed people in period of one month in July 1995!!

Thanks!

I didn't mean to offend you believe me!!!..I know that there are many countries that need our prayers.I live in Ontario, Canada ,I heard it in the news yesterday and I thought I was doing something nice for these students ....Sorry if I offended anyone..
I pray for everyone in the world...All I want is PEACE!
Peace be with everyone!!

Romanis2006...I'm sure that many of those students are soccer fans..I don't think there's anything wrong with posting it on the soccer forum..if you don't like it don't answer the question..simple as that,
you're not obligated to answer every question that's posted
go elsewhere!!

I agree. This was a terrible thing and it hasn't been brought to people's attention in the way that it should have been. We need to work together to stop such tragedies from occurring and escalating! It sickens me to think that such things are still happening - don't we, as humans, know better? Why is it so easy for us to be callous and bury our humanity? It begins with each of us - maybe there is something more you can do to make the planet better?

But, Maradona Jr., I know you are just posting this question because you are offended (?) someone else thought it might be a good idea to take a moment to "pray" over a more recent, though lesser, tragedy - the one that happened at Dawson College in Montréal just September 13th, 2006. Get a life and show some compassion!

You see Maradona Jr., all you had to do is ask. Juventina asked the question because she knows that there are quite a few Canadians on this forum.
Like I said before I don't pray but I hope that all tragedies of any proportions should be stopped and I HATE guns.

English and American cultures influence the new immigrants into guns and sh**, so quit it. I see it every day in the good US of A.

While Juventina brought up an event that happened just yesterday, you are digging dam*n deep. Why don't you go back to when the English were selling French Canadians as slaves and forbid them to hold office up to the 1960's. The French had to fight and won. F and n A.

I understand what you're getting at, but although it's quite hard to separate sports from politics, we must try our best not to bring up politics or politicize sports.

Whilst it is sad that violence and evil occurs everywhere in the world, we shouldn't make political statements, or draw attention to injustice in events unrelated to sports.
If anyone wants to extend prayers or sympathies, I believe you can simply post it in the Politics forum or something similar.

To be bring it up here in soccer, doesn't do justice to the victims, it smacks more of attention seeking. Or perhaps the questioner really has a good intention, but nevertheless bringing up in sports in not the proper avenue for expression grief.

But if anyone really experienced a personal tragedy or a personal grief recently, we can accept posting it here, purely for the sake of getting off your chest. But generalizing grief for events unrelated like the Canadian incident or the Bosnian conflict, should be best kept to the appropriate channels.

Unfortunately too many people are using this forum as a personal avenue to talk about themselves or their friends, without realizing it is open to the world at large.

You're quite a good poster but this forum wastes your time. I seen so many of your opinions which is good but everyone seems intent on putting you down here.
Maybe you should just stick to your usual posts in the other forums.
At least people there seem more mature and appreciative.

Instead of praying for one specific situation............if you do pray let us pray or remember everyone that dies in tragic situations all over the world everyday!
Juventina it was a nice though to remember Dawson college tragedy only because it just happened...............
