Hmm i was in 10th grade and i remember i was taking art class when my teacher came up and just told us "the pentagon and the two towers were hijacked by terrorist". i didnt knew what was that but then when i was walking home i saw everybody sooo nervous (although im not american, im from dominican and i was in dominican republic).... the ambience really was weird... and when i got home i saw my mom watchin the t.v. with a frightened and scared look. i got frozen when i saw the towers collapsing and nevermind about the ppl who jumped from those highs feets!

its so sad how this ppl died because of power and money interest.... RIP all of them

I was working in a doctor's surgery at the time when one of the Dr's came in and told us what had happened. We are from Edinburgh, Scotland and it affected people over here as well with such shock and deep, deep sadness. When I got home from work I saw the footage on the news and I cried for those poor, poor souls. I just kept thinking that those people were just like me, going to work to earn money and this unfairness happened to them all for the sake of those sick, killing, terrorists.

9/11.......We will never forget.

For us in Europe it was already afternoon.

When it happened I just went to work.

I had the late shift. But I had some time less.
So I went to the pub close to my office. All the
people were excited...

"Have U heard. A plane crashed the WTC in New York!"

"No what?! A small plane, what could it do. Once a plane
crashed into the Empire State Building. And?"

"No. It's serious!!!"

The manager switched on the TV. A huge flat screen
in a high quality performance...

And than we saw... there was no Piper or another
small plane, there were 2 huge planes crashing into
the World Trade Center !!!

My first reaction was to take this for an action-movie.
But I was watching the special news — and they
brought it on nearly all European / German channels...

I could not finish my beer. I went to the office...

And found all my colleagues nuts and excited!!!
We listened to the news and we saw all those
terrible pictures. And we couldn't believe...

"What is it ?! The III. World War !??"

No one could keep quiet that day. No one slept
in peace that night... People were in panic...

Except some Muslim guys in our community.
They were celebrating on the street and showed
very bad cartoons about George W. and Osama.
For them it was something like Holiday...

You lost me at "power and money interest." But, until then you were doing just fine.

I was serving overseas in the military, so it happened in the late afternoon, my time. I was the third most senior officer present, but we all ended up taking turns standing at the fence line around the clock with rifles.

These people died because of evil terrorists bent on world domination. Don't trash their memory. Oh, and while I'm at it, get rid of that stupid Avatar.

I got a call from my dad that morning. Just after the first plane hit the first tower. He said "turn on the news, Osama's at it again"
- then the second plane hit.

It was really strange watching it unfold on live TV. Because you never knew when it was going to end.

I think it's a great way to celebrate. I mean, what a great ploy for country music to sell albums. I can't wait until it's a national holiday and I can finally get that card I've been waiting for, "Happy 9/11." When I can walk down the streets and wave and say, "Happy 9/11, guys!" But mostly, I just get sick of hearing about like people care. I went to Afghanistan and Iraq, and when I came back, I didn't see people that were tired of this crap and ready to take action, I saw a group of people that were to weak to do what this country needs done, and that's protect it. 9/11 was a symptom of a disease, not the disease itself. We must quit telling ourselves we are being attacked by militants and terrorists or we will lose. We must admit we are being attacked by radical islamist terrorists and act accordingly, or it really will just be "happy 9/11 guys!."

I was in bed when it started and ended up at work watching it all. My mom was afraid I'd be in building that was a target if I went to work. I did anyway - they weren't going to win. We all wanted to think it was a bad dream.

Yes, RIP, but it wasn't money or power that killed them, it was simple hatred and terrorism.

that's why Bush invaded Iraq, to rid the world of terrorists that attacked us on 9-11, if you don't support the Bush Doctrine, your evil or with the terrorists like Osama who is free, but we got Saddam,, what does it matter that he wasn't responsible for the attacks on America,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
