Funny you ask, I did just the other day. I had the staple gun out, stapling a peice of carpet back down, and squished a big fat spider. I don't think it would hold still long enough to kill it by puncturing it with a staple.

Not a staple gun, that's a new one to me. I have cut them in half with sticks, burned them in the butt with a lighter, but no staple guns.
