Maine, vermont, new hampshire, connecticut, massachusetts and rhode island, New York is NOT considered New England

There are six states in New England: Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire are considered Northern New England while Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island are considered Southern New England....

New York is sometimes confused as a part of New England but we don't claim them.....
