The style of Mr. Kumble is more suited for test match. In one day international you should have most economical bowlers. In a one day match leg spinners are most likely to concede more runs as compared to off spin bowler. Still Kumble would have been selected for the Malaysian tour and Champions trophy if he was fully fit.

Kumble does not get selected in ODI's because he had been very expensive and he had a poor form. He was smashed by almost all the batsmen. Kumble is better in playing test matches where the batsmen defends and bowlers like kumble bowl attackingly and so he is preferred in test matches

No doubt selection in one-dayers helps to keep the cricketer constantly before public eye which indeed must be soothing to his understandable ego. However, the real endurance test of a player is in Test cricket. We should,therefore, give adequate rest to our players like Kumble to let them to put their best performance.

as he is growing older and even taken retirement from one day matches once. he kept for test matches as we require long term performance consistenetly. and who else other than kumble can provide us

we have never seen him 2 save some runs by diving because of his unfitness.As a spinner he unable 2 move the ball.Nowadays the players have 2 be strong in two departments i.e,bowling/batting & fielding.

not sure why...he has a reasonable nice ODI record...its another shame for indian selctors...they can play bowlers like RP singh, sree santh etc...but not kumble!! wow

It is pretty good that he is always in the test squad. I think it is good selection.
