You will never be financially ready. Question yourself. Are you ready, Do you have to get married, Whats your age. Whats your plans for the future. What will you have to give up, What are the other persons plans, goals, expectations. Compare, talk out issues then decide if you are ready. Also is this the person you realy want to be with forever.

I agree that if you wait till you are financially ready, you will be get married. But, there is a wonderful program called Financial Peace University by a gentleman named Dave Ramsey. My wife and I went thru this program......it helps you and your spouse to talk about money without getting into fights, how to budget money effectively so you dont get into a bind later, and many other money saving ideas. Check out the website. There is a link to find someone near you that may be teaching the program.

Go together and sit down and talk to a financial counselor who can help you determine what steps you two can take together to improve your financial future and then just do it. If you wait until you have paid off X bill and and have X amount of money in the bank you will never be ready.
However, if you are not financially stable you should not make even more of a mess out of your finances but financing a huge wedding. Keep it simple and inexpensive.

just think that there are a lot of people less "financially ready" than u and married..
or poor people cant get married?

Go ahead and get married but do not have children until you have saved up some money and cemented your relationship. You'll come closer to your financial goals with a partner than you will alone.
