In the 7th or 8th month seems like a respectable time.

You should wait until at least your 7th month and at 16 wks you really can't be sure unless you have had an amnio test done and even with that they would not have done that until your 20 wk like with an u/s. Up until the 20 wk fetus's be it girl or boy look the same there are still some development that needs to be done to determine the sex for sure and only if the baby cooperates. Getting abck to the origianl ques though. Most people wait until the baby is viable outside of the womb in case you went into premature labor and delivery before having a a shower. That does not happen until the 26th week of preg when the lungs are more developed.

I think about 1 or 1 1/2 months before your due date. Don't have it right at the last minute, my shower was planned for almost a month before my due date (by friends, not by me), and I ended up having my baby the week after the shower!

Due in feb. I would deffinately get through the holidays first. I think it's most fun to wait as long as possible I enjoy seeing mom very pregnant. You could due it as part of a New Year's party if you wanted. I would due it around the the 32 -36 week mark if your pregnacy is going well. This way you are still very pregnant and have a bit of time before baby comes to get last minute things and your gifts organized before your due date. Have fun.

Eh, maximum infant showers are performed in a protracted time interior the being pregnant, via fact by ability of seven-8 months, whether you have been to circulate into exertions, the child might maximum probable stay to tell the story. And that is an previous better halves tale that buying issues earlier is undesirable success (my mom merely approximately had a in good shape while i offered a infant outfit whilst i became 3 months pregnant haha!). in spite of the undeniable fact that, it makes greater experience so you may be there in case you could, so merely have it early!

I would say about a 1-1/2 months before due date is good...like December or early January. That should give you enough time to sort everything and to pre-wash all the baby clothes.

The norm where I live is to wait until after the baby comes about 3 weeks to a month. That way everyone gets to see the babe and ew and ah at them. I have seen others have the shower in their 8 month though.

Teh best time to have a baby shower is after you find out the sex of the baby. The doctors usually do a 21 week sonogram in which sometimes they can tell you, and a 28 week sonogram.

I read that 30 to 32 weeks is the proper time for a baby shower.
