Not only did she invite Tom Selleck on her show and then attack him for being a member of the NRA, but just the other day she made a totally false and inflamatory statement on the View. The were on the subject of the war in Iraq, which she is against of course, which is fine. Then she made the statement that "muslim extremists were no worse than Christian 'extremists'". Of course she simply spewed her garbage and didn't back it up with any facts, such as where are the Christian extremists that are cutting peoples head off, flying planes into buildings, and indescriminatly killing people in the name of Jesus. She couldn't, because these "Christian extremists" don't exist. But why would she make such a blatently stupid remark? She is really making the dems look bad, because she proudly claims to be a member of the democratic party. She fails to acknowledge the Christian men and women who died to give her the right to spew her filth. Is she a good dem, or just your average bigot?

And to make matters worse, the fools in the audience actually applauded her trash. Are people really that blind to the truth?

dukalink6000, if you are reffering to the term "typical democrat", keep in mind that the left has hyjacked the democratic party, and most of the left are very anti-Christian. Plus Rosie is a very vocal member of the democratic party, and makes it known every chance she gets.

Answerman, who are these "Christian extremists" that are killing people in Iraq? Do you have proof of this, or are you just making a bigoted statement like Rosie. You say you don't agree with her, and yet you resort to the same tactics.

La Belle B, you almost had a point there, unfortunatly there are many people who are against gay marriage, not just Christians. If Christians hold this much power over the government, why is abortion legal, or adultery for that matter. You can't blaim it on Christians, most people of faith and many with no faith view homosexuality as immoral and perverted.
Even if you could blame Christians, you still can't compare that to cutting off people's heads and shooting children in back. If Christians had that much power in government, wouldn't we be living in a theocracy, wouldn't every sin be illegal, your point is invalid.

Good point clk4cb, but most Christians don't believe God hates gays. And if so they should read the Bible. God loves all people, regardless of their sin.

Ah Jim W, put down the crack pipe please. You are just as bigoted as rosie. And I see you are still quoting one of the founding fathers of NAZI idealism. Wake up Jim, and get a clue please. Your bigotry has no place here.

"Separation of church & state" is a term the ACLU made up. It doesn't exist, it makes no sense. Our religious freedoms were made so we could worship whomever we want. Contrary to what people will admit, most of our laws are based on the 10 commandments.
Rosie definately showed her true colors. She's childish...not a big fun kid, but childish.... A typical dem that knows they can get away with being bigotted about Christians.
I told my kids today that Rosie O said that I was no different than Osama Bin Laden.
It was mostly Christian organizations that helped and cleaned up after the tsunami and the hurricanes (red cross & salvation army). Are they no different than Al Quaida? or Hezbollah? She didn't say that Christians were killing people until Joy commented. She said the killers were no different than people that follow the teachings of Jesus.
Most real Christians don't hate gays....heck, we hate all sin, but the gays want validation from us and that's not what they're going to get. I don't condone heterosex or any kind of sex that isn't with your spouse. They call it hatred because they're not validated.
It may backfire for the dems. There's a possibility that it will turn off alot of dems. On the other hand, it could greatly divide our country if many people agree with her.

Thank you. Great question with great points. I asked the same question before but I didnt even come close to wording it the way you did. I hope Rosie gets canned if she keeps opening up her mouth and crap comes out. I dont and will never watch that show but a person like her doesnt deserve to be on national tv let alone make the money she does.
Christians ar taught not to hate the sinner but the sin. Sure there are 'extremists' but like you said they arent the ones killing innocent people every single day. Tortureing, blowing up, beheading, you name it. There is NO comparison between radical Christians and radical Islamic groups. NONE AT ALL
I think part of the reason Rosie hates Christians is because they dont agree with her way of life, being a lesbian. The Bible is against the act itself and that is what they believe. They dont, or most, dont actually hate her because she is lesbo but hate her for everything else she does lol.

Rosie O'Donnell acts like a degenerate .She once told an assistant that people get cancer because they lie. And if they Lie AGAIN THEY GET IT AGAIN . Christians are not out blowing up buildings . For O'Donnell to insinuate they are , is ludicrous . I wouldn't watch the view for love or money-but I saw a clip of her insane remarks . Does "The View" need ratings so bad that they resort to putting a mouth full of trash on TV ? I don't care what her politics are , nor do I care who she sleeps with ; it has nothing to do with the fact that she is a lunatic being paid by a TV network to spread hate and lies about the things that many ( not just Americans ) hold near and dear .She needs to look for work in Iraq-where she can be closer to those she is aiding and abetting .

I don't understand why you are making such a generalization. I think that she is entitled not to like radical Christians because they do restrict at least one of her rights - that to be able to marry the person she loves.
The first and foremost reason why same sex marriage isn't allowed is directly tied to the fact that in the Bible, it is stated as a sin. Yet, we supposedly founded a government based on separation of state and church.
Why shouldn't she stand up to the very people opposed to the idea of her happiness?
Radicalism is never good by the way, no matter what forms it takes.
Additional details: I didn't compare the two, but radicals do act somewhat the same. Radical christians burn down abortion clinics, with doctors and patients inside. Regular christians voice their dissent with public marches and protests. See the difference between radical and "normal"?
Radicals are the ones that tell her she's going to hell and probably gladly help her get there soon!
So what I was saying, is that she has the right not to like them, and bash them just the way they do her!
And it's a little naive for you to think that most laws aren't religious leaning.....

Rosie was trying to make a point. (Although she used about as much tact as Ann Coulter). It was a vile thing to say and I hope she aplogizes, but I can see her anger and bitterness when Pat Robertson and Jerry Falwell try to keep telling her she will burn in hell for being a lesbian. All Christians don't believe God 'hates' gays -- I think its sad she is so full of hate because a minority of Christians who don't agree with her lifestyle were very vocal about THEIR objections.

Extremists exist is every religion. The great thing about being American is the right to voice your own opinion. You should learn from others opinions, even if you do not agree with them. The easy way out is to bash Rosie for her comments. The best thing to do respect her as a person for her opinion. Leave it at that.

The Christian extremest are in Iraq raping and killing 14 year old girls and killing her family. They are in the secret prisons, they are using scare tactics to keep the sheep in line. Yes, dear there are Christian extremist. I do not support Rosie or her agenda as it is even to far left for me. But please try and remember that she is trying to build that audience such as Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter do for the right wing fanatics.

What's the point of asking a question if you disagree with every person that disagrees with you? You don't want to know anything, you just want your opinoin validated. YOu shouldn't even bother asking questions if you don't want to hear the answers.
