At whatever age they are comfortable with the idea of giving up their current life style. Having children is a life changer... a good one for most... and it's more about when you are ready for that, than how old you are.

I think at least 21/22. That way they've seen enough of the world to be content with settling down, and they're way more responsible - think of the huge change in those 5 years between being a 16 and a 21 year old! Also the children will have the advantage of having parents who've had some great experiences that they can share with them. Having said that though, i have a friend who had a baby at 16 and is honestly one of the best, most caring Mums i've ever seen, she's really had to grow up and it's given her real strength of character which im sure will come in useful!
