The White Sox. They have the toughest schedule out of the three. The still have to play Oakland, Detroit, and Minnesota.

Even with Liriano out, the Twins still have a really good chance at catching the Tigers and passing them up. Since he was originally put on DL on Aug 7, the Twins have the lowest ERA of all teams, and have been gaining on the Tigers. During this time, they took 2 out of 3 from Detroit, White Sox, Detroit again, and Oakland, all without Liriano.

It is beginning to look like the Tigers may miss the playoffs this year. Unless the Tigers can get things together very soon, they are in big trouble. The White Sox have a 3 game series with the Tigers in Chicago starting Monday. If the Tigers do hang on and qualify as the wild card, they would open against the Yankees (does anybody think the Tigers could beat the Yankees in a playoff series right now).

I think it could end up being the Tigers because it comes down to who the hottest team is. Right now its the Twins. White Sox are on the rise and Tigers on their way down. But remember last year White Sox struggled near the end of the season and people thought the Indians would win so Tigers could make a run like the White Sox of last year.

At this point the Twins are Hot the Tigers are not but are still in first place. Unless the White Sox get white hot they are on the bubble.

Sox are out. Everyone is saying the Twins won't make it because Liriano is out for the season now. Uhh People! The Twins were doing great without Liriano and they will do better next year with him.

Maybe these guys haven't heard the news yet. Francisco Liriano is DONE for the season.

With only one reliable starting pitcher (Johan Santana) and only a 1 1/2 game lead in the wild card, the Twins are looking more and more like the team that's going to be left out.

How much can they really expect from Carlos Silva, Boof Bonser and Matt Garza?

Sox are done. Even without Liriano, the Twins will make it.
