anybody ever heard or tried roaccutane?

it's an acne oral medicine im going to try.. any feedback, good or bad side effects?

It is good but has lots of side effects. You have to have your blood tested for whatever reason before beginning the medication. You have to be EXTREMELY careful not to get pregnant due to the risk of deformities. It makes your skin really dry. You cannot go out into the sun at all. (good thing its Fall) It is dangerous. There are so many other remedies, make sure this is the last resort.

I have to tell you that i have had at least 4 friends who have used this to treat acne and they are all great campaigners for this treatment, they have never looked back! Of course nothing comes without consequenses so as long as you take the correct ammounts for your body weight and get it from yr doctor or dermtologist you will be fine. Stay out of the direct sun, you will find that your skin dries and your eyes may too, especially the lips. skin becomes sensitive. Dont drink alcohol in excess and do not fall pregnant for at least a year after the course. It may alter your mood slightly...as long as you take it with good advice from the dr you will be fine and even more imortantly your skin will be amazing after treatment....so worth it according to my friends.....painless too! most of them were on it for up to 6 months

I used it when I was a teen and my sister used it in her mid 20's. We both saw exceptional results and I have had only a few pimples since. I did however suffer depression around the time that I took it, whether the two were related I cant be sure. It also dries your skin out alot be sure to carry lip balm and moisturiser everywhere you go and drink HEAPS of water.
