I think you need to go back and do some more research on Waco.
People screwed up big that day. People died. Bottom line is that cultists killed federal officers which sparked an aggression that was not necessary.
The children along with several others were killed before the fire began. I want to say look it up, but the only thing you are going to find in a search is conspiracy theorist sites.
I suggest watching the Discovery Channel's report. A lot was done wrong, yes. But when you kill federal officers, expect something bad to happen.

In my opinion that is an example of excessive force but non the less a precedent. Internment camps and imprisonment without trial are in the wings - the recent changes to the constitution through the so called 'Patriot Act' make this possible. The fact that the current US administration has visible fascist tendencies makes this probable. And, the inevitable exposure of the real 'terrorists' behind the events of 9/11 make this almost inevitable - when the public learn the truth the government is likely to declare martial law and attempt to silence the truth.

First of all, you are CONFUSED with the difference between the US Military, and the Federal Police/Law Enforcement Forces. Waco was one of those Law Enforcement Actions, and NOT a Military Action.

Waco was an extreme case that required military action. If the Davidians had not resorted to weaponry, then the police or perhaps S.W.A.T. would have handled it.
Wackos have a way of bringing this sort of action upon themselves due to their extremism. Domestic terrorism requires substantative response.
What I don't understand is why don't the malcontents just leave?

That was cause the Branch Dividians were ***** and doing bad things. But it wasn't the military anyway, it was the either the FBI or CIA, I can't remember right off hand.
But there is a line in the oath that every soldier takes that says, "from all enemies, foreign and domestic."

Why do people constantly refer to Wako when blaming our government for things, yet they never bother mentioning the fact that the branch devidion (sp?) was also modifying weapons into fully automatic and selling them as well? Hmmmmm?
Why, if they were such a wonderful group of people who should not have been bothered, would they have a giant stockpile of weapons? Give me a break.
I take it you believe that all cults, as this was, should be allowed to do whatever they want? Breaking the law and being able to get away with it? Think again lady.

you're absolutely right, last night my friend was kidnapped by the secret police and taken to a military torture camp. And i dont see police patroling our streets, it tanks and hummers here. Also the military doesnt need a search warrant, i had to just let them in. And we dont have a civil trial anymore, its all in front of military tribunals.
Actually thats sarcasm, and Waco was the Feds, not the military.

Because Bushco has destroyed the posse comitatus act just like he has huge pieces of the US Constitution.
That's just what tyrannical dictators do with their fascist regimes.

Hmm lets see.
Maybe the fact that the davidians were stockpiling weapons and ,well, they shot first.
You think you would stand around and see if they will shoot again?
