Everyone asks you "What is your style?" and I have no answer to give them, since most styles are dictated by your musical tastes. I listen to alot of music, but it doesnt make who I am.
I listen to: Disturbed, Queen, R.E.M., Genesis, The Eagles, Kelly Clarkson, James Blunt, Nickelback, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Bryan Adams, Bruce Springsteen, Norah Jones, Sandi Thom, Katie Melua, Sheryl Crow, Black Lab, Within Temptation, Avril Lavigne, Sarah McLachlan and several others from compilation CDs (OC, Roswell, Buffy, Dawson's Creek)
What is my main style of music?
And what would that make me? Goth? Rock Chick? Sk8ter?

everything you listed is pretty much rock music...some hard, some soft, some pop-rock(clarkson), but it's rock!! congrats for choosing to listen to the good stuff. i applaude you. i listen to most of those people too. never heard of sandi tom or katie melua. but i'm cool with the rest, i also like bands like hinder, 10 years, three days grace, and even green day and beastie boys. but i have an ecclectic taste in music, if you don't believe me you can send a mesage or e-mail and i'll send you a link to my myspace and my danceage.com profiles.

I hate the term "rock chick", it makes women seem odd for listening to heavier/more upbeat music! But I'm crazy about the Beatles, and that's fairly old music - so my answer to your question is no, you're not a rock chick, but you've got a solid appreciation for good music!

Yea you're a rock chick alright! They're alot of bands that make you more into rock. I love rock music, alternative indie, brit rock (like Gorillaz, Kaiser Chiefs and Razor light), soul, classical r 'n' b. But its really good that you expand your style and not just listen to rock like Katie Melua. But please, please don't do James Blunt! He's... well I won't cuss coz you like his music

Music is just that, music. Listening to this or that don't make you this or that. I listen to gothic music sometimes,I am not gothic, I listen to old hippy music, I am not a hippy or a stoner. What you listen to reflects how you feel inside, not hte outside. You are eclectic, and that is good.....btw,kudos on Black Lab, they are awesome

makes you a wide range of taste. i listen to most of the stuff you listen to as well as jazz and blues. jus let the music play and like what you hear.. its not a competition on taste, just an enjoyment of the moment

Sounds like you have a wide variety of musical interests, but if you had to be classified you'd be a rock/pop listener. I'm a true mutt when it comes to music because I listen to classical, Broadway, jazz, new age, country, classic rock, heavy metal, just about everything except rap.

you're a fan of music. right away, your unwillingness to categorise yourself is a good thing. keep buying new CDs, always try out new genres, go after your favourtite band's influences etc.
and to that guy above, you do have to like rap to say you enjoy all genres of music
