And do you suppose any leader of any Arab country would even be questioned? They'd arrest and try the accuser for fornication! And then stone her to death.

Give us a break. If someone is not indicted it's because he's not guilty. Or that the case is not provable.

You should check your information again: an Arab newspaper is not the most objective source, and Uri Avneri (the so-called-journalist) is maybe the worst place to find an objective information about Israel (in case you did not know, Mr Avneri is more radical than Yasser Arafat).

The investigation of Katzav is far from being over, and it is more than likely that they'll find him guilty as charged.

And what does that has got to do with democracy? On the contrary- a true democracy consider its citizens inosence and give them the benefit of the doubt.

Oh, you read it in an arab newspaper. thats a real objective source. Well, considering newspapers in the Middle East call jews the offspring of pigs and apes, you cant use them as sources. Thats not libelous at all. But let me tell you how trials work in a fair justice system. The prosecution has to have enough proof to convict the peson, if they dont it would be a waste of time to fight in a pointless battle. They dont declare jihad on a person who has stated an opinion the government doesnt like.
The prosecution didnt have enough proof, its not a failure of democracy, if anything it shows how much more fair our justice system is than yours.

p.s. any chance your an unintelligent arab muslim terrorist?

p.p.s. its not the "so called jewish state" itsa isreal, if anything it's the "so called palestinian state" as palestine has never been an official state, Isreal is.

what do you mean "so called Jewish state"? A man is either guilty or innocent in Israel not like in Iran or Syria where they kill you for farting on Friday. I can assure you that if Katzav were guilty they would have prosecuted him. Article in Arab News? What is that, a newspaper written on toilet paper? Go back to your duties and read the Koran from cover to cover because we'll ask questions.

Not at all!! First, consider your source. Second, if the source is correct, that is a good example of democracy in action. Remember, in a democracy, you are INNOCENT until proved guilty. If there is not enough evidence, the presumption is innocence.

Chow!!
