I just thought the response was funny, creative, and beg the question in general.

Ummm...

maybe because you started it....

"It has nothing to do with being lazy except in the sick twisted minds of the conservatives."

It's rather thin skinned of you to say conservatives have "sick twisted minds" - and then complain that he launches a personal attack on you.

So, maybe your question should be "why do liberals/leftists resort to personal attacks?"

So because I consider myself a conservative I always resort to personal attacks?

Let me ask a pretty broad question to you; "Why is that people insist on generalizing a group based on their limited experience with said group?"

Based on the link you have here you rolled into this guys question, explained that you are underemployed for your qualifacations and then bashed the buisness base.

Let me relate this to you. I am in the service, so I cannot use myself as a point, however, let me use my brother. He was in the Navy for about six years repairing and maintaining avionics computer systems. Earned two degrees, Electrical engineering and Computer Programming. The man has can work magic with code. He has programmed several security programs, programmed and published the Militarys web based Computer Base Training (CBT), and much more. he is a stay at home father now because he considers himself underemployed.

When I ask why not just go out and do anything he explains it to me like this; "The technology field is like the game of soccor. There are thousands that are great players, but only a handful are truly great enough for the pros."

I think it makes sense. The tech field is completely oversaturated with qualified individuals that makes competing for the truly great positions down right difficult. If you want the good work, then do what is necessary to get it. If you don't want to, then you have to be content with what you do get.

I have a degree in Information Technology and will have a Network Engineering degree soon. I don't plan to limit my search to the tech field. Also looking at the Railroad, Police, Highway Patrol, and various others.

I do happen to agree that when Government gets involved, opression is practiced. When buisness is involved, extreme compitition is required.

This was far from a personal attack, but take it how you will. =)

This is not a personal attack, I'm just trying to make a point, and I'll try not to insult you.

In my office, there was a man older than me, with a masters degree. I am younger and have less education, but make about twice as much as he did. The other guy was a pain in the butt, and constantly complaining that he should be making more money, and was generally unpleasant.

The point is, that it takes more than a resume and education to get a good job. If people do not like you, you will not get good jobs, or will not get promoted, no matter what your qualifications.

Obviously, I don't know you. You might be the nicest person in the world, or a complete a s s, I have no idea. All I'm saying, is that maybe the job market is not the problem, maybe it's you.

you're kidding, right?. facts, logic and truths. See logical fallacies for an anlysis of why his correlation between neo-fuedalism and accredation is, well, futile. "post ergo propter hoc" classic. Both sides resort to perconal attacks. Bush is stupid, Gore is whacky, Ruch is a racist, Clinton is a (what the hell is he this week?), on and on, so neither side can claim victory for that trophy of victimiztion. however the transparency of you relating your personal situation to blame a capitalist model, while it may not have been stated by you personally, the implied rationale is to revamp the model (capitalism). And while portions of this model may be flawed, is still the best one around as far as I am concerned, and wouldn't exchange for any other model in the world. Poverty, unemployment, racism, discrimination and all the downsides of the American neo-fuedalistic are far out-weighed by its successes.

It's the attack of last resort. When one cannot argue with facts, they emotionally coil up into the fetal position and resort to insults. Psychologically it is a reliving method to retain some sort of (wrongly) perceived dignity and supposedly hurt the other one.

Of course, we know that they helplessly resort to this in order to make themselves feel better and therefore those insults do not hurt. In fact, they cannot hurt a thinking being.

Uh, does no longer the question be seen a private attack against liberals? basically asking... My determination is that in case you have a controversy with a liberal attacking you individually, or somebody else, which you take care of them one to one instead of dragging something people into it. it is notably cowardly the way people spout off approximately politicians in the back of their backs, yet won't tell them head to head. Reminds of those gossipy beyatches in school. guy up.

Because they lack the necessary education and intelligence to defeat the ideas you propose with sound argument and quotation of applicable facts. Lacking this, they resort to the only thing they know, abuse of the speaker. Remember that old saying about when the King doesn't like the news he's liable to kill the messenger? Same thing I guess.

Cheers,
Zah

If you count up all the questions like that on here every day you would find it is usually the other way around. However I fail to see a political question here, just a bunch of bitching.

Both the right and the left resort to personal attacks.
