Well that is interesting. I've been eating a banana every single day for the past couple years and I'm still the same weight. I haven't gained any weight from eating them, where did you here that from??
If you want to gain weight, eat foods that are higher in calories, not unhealthy fat. You can eat the healthy fat though to gain weight, but it's still fat...it should be taken in moderation. Also try drinking milkshakes. When I had mono a couple years ago I was afraid I would loose weight, and I would have if it weren't for the milk shakes. I had one almost everynight before I went to bed. Vanilla ice cream, milk and some capuchinno syrup...really good.

NO. Banana is a healthy food. It has nothing do to with fatness. You can actually eat as many bananas as you want. Athletes, which are healthy people eat banana's regularly, because it has potasium that helps unstress tired muscles...
If you're eating a lot of food and still don't gain weight, then maybe your metabolism is fast. I should suggest you do regular exercise and eat a lot of protien food. Eating protein rich food will help you gain weight and exercise will keep you healthy at the same time. But if you're not eating enough food... then start doing it now..

Americans should be blamed for being one of the fattest countries on the planet. There is nothing wrong with KFC, McDonalds, etc., one just shouldn't eat there EVERY DAY. It's not rocket science. Stop having a diet consisting exclusively of fried, processed foods.

Bananas don't make us fat. Overeating the wrong types of foods make us fat. We gain weight consuming empty calories that come from processed foods that are high in fat.

Actually it`s quite the opposite.
It`s part of the brat diet, along with rice, applesauce, and toast.
And contains three natural sugars: sucrose, fructose and glucose - combined with fiber. (which helps youi to lose weight and clean o9ut your system of toxins)
A banana gives an instant, sustained and substantial boost of energy. Research has proved that just two bananas provide enough energy for a strenuous 90-minute workout. No wonder the banana is the number one fruit with the world's leading athletes.
Depression: According to a recent survey undertaken by MIND among people suffering from depression, many felt much better after eating a banana. This is because bananas contain tryptophan, a type of protein that the body converts into serotonin, known to make you relax, improve your mood and generally make you feel happier.
Constipation: High in fiber, including bananas in the diet can help restore normal bowel action, helping to overcome the problem without resorting to laxatives.
Overweight and at work: Studies at the Institute of Psychology in Austria found pressure at work leads to gorging on comfort food like chocolate and crisps. Looking at 5,000 hospital patients, researchers found the most obese were more likely to be in high-pressure jobs. The report concluded that, to avoid panic-induced food cravings, we need to control our blood sugar levels by snacking on high carbohydrate foods every two hours to keep levels steady.
A banana really is a natural remedy for many ills. When you compare it to an apple, it has four times the protein, twice the carbohydrate, three times the phosphorus, five times the vitamin A and iron, and twice the other vitamins and minerals. It is also rich in potassium and is one of the best value foods around.
Soooooo.......... "A banana a day keeps the doctor away!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
To get heavier.......
always eat after 7:00 at night. Before you go to bed.
eat a lot of fast food.
don`t drink much water, but only soda and juice.
and don`t exercise. be a couch potatoe.
bananas don't make you fat. just like pineapple, they contain high calories...but it's the good kind of calories, so you won't be able to put on weight. if you wanna get fat without clogging your arteries, i say stick to eating a lot of meat (stuff like beef and pork) and potatoes (because they're complex carbs and that'll help you put on weight the healthy way). if you follow this, you'll get there eventually.
hope that helps....
